   PortEconomics.gr

 

PortEconomics.gr is a web-based initiative aiming to advance knowledgeexchange on seaport studies. Developed by the Researchin Port Economics and Policy (REPEP) Group, it provides freelyaccessible research, education and network-building material on critical issuesof port economics, management and policies.

The members of thegroup are affiliated with the Department ofShipping, Trade & Transport (STT), University of the Aegean (Researchin Shipping and Ports (RESHIP) Laboratory) in Greece, and are actively involvedin academic as well as contract research in port economics and policy.

REPEP members also collaborate with anextensive international network of academics interested in seaport studiesand research in Europe, N. America and Asia. These activities haveresulted in an extensive list of relevant publications, that are availablevia this website.

The main objectives of the PortEconomics.gr initiativeare:

  • - To disseminate the activities and research output of the members of REPER by providing open access to the research and analysis contacted by the group’s members;
  • - To establish and foster a knowledge exchange network of scholars, policy-makers, practitioners and students interested in port issues; and
  •  - To develop and promote relevant resources for increased port studies.
