...February...REPEP members attended on February 22 the ceremony of the annual "Efkranti" awards for the maritimepersonalities of the year. The event was hosted at the premises of Piraeus Port Authority (PPA) SA.

“Efkranti awards” is a prestigious annual event organized by the "Naftika Chronika" Magazine, the oldest specialized maritime magazine in Greece.

REPEP member Thanos Pallis had the privilege to co-introduce, along with Prof. Maria Lekakou, the winner of the "Life-achievement Efkranti Award" Mr. Pericles Panagopoulos.

The standing ovation for Mr Panagopoulos, a leading Greek shipping personality that has led byexample was a moving moment for the shipping community representatives that attended the event.
