Brief CV
Spiros Tsiotsis is a PhD fellow at the Department of Shipping, Trade and Transport, in School of Business, University of the Aegean (2005). He also contributes to the postgraduate programme of the Department of Shipping, Trade and Transport, at the School of Business, University of the Aegean, Greece. Teaching Assistant (TA) in the Jean Monnet Programme European Port Policy.
His research interests focus on the economics and politics of port and maritime transport policies, and on relevant issues of European integration, with emphasis being on policy actors and the European decision-making processes.
Spiros is the author of scientific papers which examine issues related to maritime transport policies, port management and economics, as well as evolution of relevant European policies, and have been published in scientific journals and presented in international scientific conferences. He has also participated in research programs that examine the structure of shipping and maritime markets and the development of appropriate national and European policies.
Spiros Tsiotsis holds a BSc from the Department of International European and Economic Studies of Athens University of Economic and Business (2003), and an MSc in Shipping Trade and Transport, School of Business, University of the Aegean (2004).
