Dr. Ioannis N. Lagoudis works as Adjunct Lecturer at the at the Department of Shipping Trade and Transport, Aegean University, and at the Hellenic Open University teaching Management, Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship and Decision Making and Modeling. He is also the Head of Research and Development of XRTC Ltd Business Consultants specializing on issues related to different maritime sectors such as the ferry, cruise and port ones. In 2007 he obtained the post of visiting researcher at Cardiff University (Logistics Systems Dynamics Group) focuses on the research areas of Transport and Supply Chain Management.

In 2008 he was awarded the Post-Doctoral Degree on Container Terminal Optimization funded by the Greek State Scholarships Foundation. His research interests lie in the areas of transport management, transport logistics and supply chain management. He has published a number of papers in conferences and academic journals such Transportation Journal, European Business Review, International Journal of Transport Management, Maritime Economics and Logistics and Maritime Policy and Management.

Ioannis Lagoudis holds a first degree in Economics (1998) from the National and Capodistriac University of Athens. He obtained both his MSc (1999) and Ph.D. (2003) from Cardiff Business School, Cardiff University, specializing in Transport Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
